| The Department of Public Safety staff is on duty 24 hours a day, and regularly patrols around campus buildings and surroundings.
DPS officers are available to provide escorts and will respond to emergencies. It is suggested that guests use good judgment when walking at night, as one would in any large city. Emergency phones with blue lights highlighting their position are located all over campus with direct access to Public Safety.
For security purposes, entrances to all residence halls are secured 24 hours a day and can only be accessed by residents of those buildings.
